Pattern No.16 Instructions


Anchor your thread up to the right
(Under the four-sided-stitch)
of your first stitch "Start Point".

Count six threads Upwards and two threads
Leftwards from “Start Point" (needle down)

Count two threads Downwards and two threads Leftwards (needle up)


Count six threads Upwards and two threads Leftwards (needle down)
Count two threads Downwards and two threads Leftwards (needle up)

On the way back, count two threads Downwards
and six threads Rightwards (needle down)

Count two threads Downwards and two threads
Leftwards (needle up)


Count two threads Downwards and six threads Rightwards (needle down)
Count two threads Downwards and two threads Leftwards (needle up)

For the second row...
count eight threads Leftwards (needle up)


Count six threads Upwards and two threads Leftwards (needle down)
Count two threads Downwards and two threads Leftwards (needle up)

After you finish Diagram 16-3


Please turn your fabric 90 degree counter-clockwise.
***The position of the blue knot has changed


After turning the fabric 90 degree counter-
clockwise, stitch the Diagram 16-3 again.

Anchor your thread up to the right (Under the
four-sided-stitch) of your first stitch "Start Point". (Pink knot)


Count six threads Upwards and two threads Leftwards from “Start Point"
 (needle down)
Count two threads Downwards and two threads Leftwards (needle up)


Count six threads Upwards and two threads Leftwards (needle down)
Count two threads Downwards and two threads Leftwards (needle up)


On the way back, count two threads Downwards
and six threads Rightwards (needle down)

Count two threads Downwards and two threads
Leftwards (needle up)


For the second row, count eight threads Leftwards (needle up)

Continue stitching.....


Turn your fabric 90 degree clockwise after finished!


Look at the positions of the blue and pink knots.

If you look at the Pattern No.16, the second part starts on the left side of the pattern.




Turn you fabric 90 degree counter-clockwise
and start to stitch the second part of the pattern.

Anchor or take a small stitch
(under the four-sided-stitch)
before next row if you think it's needed.


Start and finish your threads with care!
Please try to avoid changing your thread in the middle of the row!
Pulled Thread Embroidery is all about tension. Do not distort the fabric.
